APTA Exercise to Fight Obesity Tweetchat

The APTA has asked me to answer questions and address issues related to the role of physical activity in staying fit, starting an exercise regimen, and exercise considerations for people who are obese and/or have type 2 diabetes in their next Move Forward PT tweetchat. It will take place on November 3, 2010 at 6 pm-7 pm ET.

  2. While I think exercise is very important to health I think that the misconception is that exercise it the most important aspect in regards to weight loss. If you are looking to better your health watching what you eat and exercising is key however that will not guarantee the weight loss you are looking for.

    Hello – I’m curious if the kind of drastic weight loss that people are undergoing on ABC’s Extreme Makeover Weight Loss is healthy and sustainable. The people on the show are losing hundreds of pounds in just a year’s time. I know a lot of that comes off in the skin surgery. But still. Is that healthy? Or is this show just further perpetuating unhealthy crash diets?
