BH4BP #9 – Lattes, Mochas, Drip Coffee and Tea
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 20:56 — 14.4MB)
This week, I start off the show by discussing what your best drink option is at your local coffee shop. I go over the advantages and disadvantages of lattes, mochas, drip coffees and teas. I go over the calorie content of each drink and why some drinks might be better for you then others. Some references that I used are calorie-count.com and web.md.
I end the show by addressing some questions from Kimberly from Oregon, Rednikki from California and Kim from Michigan.
In my opinion the Wii Fit is a good addition to ones program but should not be ones only source of fitness….agreed! Great tips for breakfast as well! Thanks!
Wow! Thanks Tali.
Thanks for all your research results. A lot of great info in your show. All I can say is I’m glad I only drink tea! It makes it an easy decision really…
As someone who once drank a pumpkin spice latte on a daily basis with nonfat milk and gain 10lbs in one month, I enjoyed how you put all the information in simplistic terms. I would forget that eventhough I was drinking the latte with nonfat milk, it’s still has calories and I didn’t even consider the calories in pumpkin spice syrup. Great podcast, truly enjoyed it.
I just discovered your podcast and it is just what I’ve been looking for!
I’m a coffee freak. My drink of choice was a 16oz iced mocha (espresso, 3 heaping squirts of ghirardelli chocolate, and 2% milk). at least 7 a week. Which of course led my doctor to tell me that my cholesterol was way to high and I needed to lower it or go on medicine (I’m 26!). So I bit the bullet and cut back to a 16oz skim milk vanilla latte about 3 times a week.
But listening to your podcast really helped me get the facts straight and I might take one more step back to drinking tea. Hopefully that, along with a normal exercise routine, will save me from having to medically treat my lifestyle problems.
Great Work. You’ve just got one more regular listener!
