		<description>Cyclists also need to adhere to basic cycling etiquette - if you pass someone, do so on that person&#039;s left and announce that you are passing, e.g. &quot;Passing on your left&quot;.  Otherwise, you might startle the cycling you are overtaking, who in turn swerves either into a ditch or worse, into you and whatever motor vehicle traffic is nearby.</description>
