Join nationally renowned cookbook author and chef Barbara Ghazarian for a fun filled exploration of the delicious, vibrant flavored uses of parsley in the Mediterranean kitchen. Barbara will be preparing the classic winter-fresh parsley salad called tabbouli. She will share the secret uses of the popular herb in a wide variety of dishes as well as hand out samples for tasting.
Barbara Ghazarian (aka Queen of Quince) is a New York Times acclaimed cookbook author. With the publication of her most recent cookbook, Simply Quince, Barbara has become known as the Queen of Quince. She is passionate about cooking the food of her Armenian ancestry. Simply Quince built on the success of her first award-winning cookbook, Simply Armenian: Naturally Healthy Ethnic Cooking Made Easy (2004, 2010 3rd printing). The California Rare Fruit Growers declared 2014 the “Year of the Quince.” Barbara celebrated the heirloom fruit’s resurgence as the keynote speaker at the national fruit-growers convention in Portland, OR this August. She has multiple TV credits, including Real Simple for PBS-TV and WGBH-Boston, and she is a frequent radio guest.
