Dr. Montoya will discuss:
- The function of the adrenals, thyroid, hormones & neurotransmitters.
- The effect and impact of stress factors on the hormonal cascade (symptoms, mood and quality of life, both short and long term).
- Natural ways of coping with stress factors and how to bring awareness back to self and body.
- Basic lifestyle habits that will be the most beneficial during times of stress and transition through loss.
After receiving her doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 2007, Dr. Montoya journeyed to Thailand to work at the five-star Chiva-Som International Health Resort helping international clients with chronic health conditions, stress and emotional disorders, weight management and detoxification.
Dr. Montoya treats a broad range of acute and chronic conditions seen in primary care in men and women of all ages. She believes in restoring optimal health through the investigation and understanding of each patient’s unique physiological functioning, mental and emotional influences, lifestyle and environmental factors, and spiritual nature. Healing protocols are designed in conjunction with the patient based on their goals, needs and unique disposition to aid in health and life transformation.
